Plant of the week: Santolina ‘Yellow buttons’

Santolina’s are bushy evergreen shrubs which are a popular choice because of their interesting and fragrant foliage.

In mid summer yellow button shaped flowers appear which give this variety it’s name. Growing to 50cm in both height and width this compact shrub can be used in containers, hanging baskets or throughout the garden.

This Santolina can withstand temperatures as low as -15 degrees Celsius, which makes it an ideal choice for winter interest. For best results plant in a full to partial sunned area and water well until established.
